The Week Ahead - Key Events and Focus


This week has a big economic focus with the Fed meeting on Wednesday sandwiched by US CPI on Tuesday and Retail sales On Thursday. Abroad we will see Euro-zone and Germany ZEW on Tuesday Euro-zone Industrial production, and ECB meeting on Thursday. In China we will see economic data for May Thursday and BoJ policy decision on Friday.

On the corporate front another relatively slow week will include earnings from ADBE, JBL, FNSR, OXM, PLAY and RH.  We will also see some broker conferences with Goldman Sachs global healthcare, William Blair Growth conf, Credit Suisse basic material.

Developments coming out of the G7 meetings in Quebec will be focused on the continuing trade tensions and then there's the Trump and Kim summit late Monday night.  

S&P bullish sentiment has now drifted higher into the elevated zone at 74%.  There remains some unfinished upside DeMark Countdowns that could exhaustion to the upside later in the week.  Stay tuned to the Hedge Fund Telemetry Daily Note all week to stay up to date on the Countdowns.
